The first part of your question was a real ‘blast from the past’…….I cannot recall the singer but first line of song is “Goodbye cruel world I’m off to join the circus,gonna be a broken hearted clown…”This obviously ties in with one of your other questions re. ‘fear of clowns’.
The singer is seeking to join the circus as a means of getting over a ‘lost love’……this may be a foolish move as he would then be remembered as a ‘clown’.
The ‘wise’ move,of course,if trying to ‘forget’ is to join the French Foreign Legion.
