Goodbye Baby

ok this isstupid but i came home and cried like a baby after saying goodbye?
today was my last CBT therapy appointment with my psychologist ive been having it since february to bide me over until i get into the psychological services (there is an 18 month waiting list) i was strong all through the appointment not letting on how much not seeing him anymore would really affect me then i left and got in my car and cried my eyes out like a baby. why did i do this? i feel so stupid about it. i grew quite attached to him not in a sexual way just i found he was easy to talk to and am gutted that its over now he was so kind he even swindled it so that i had 6 extra sessions when i shouldnt of according to NHS rules. im going to miss him
I don’t think that it is stupid at all. It’s hard to meet new people and even harder to build a good enough relationship with them to be able to open up and accept the help. it sounds like you have done remarkably well to work with your psychologist and in turn to help yourself get well. But saying goodbye is just as hard as building up the relationship in the first place.
i used to think saying goodbye meant they were giving up on me, i know now this is not the case but at that time i was very emotional. i try and remember just because you are not seeing this person anymore doesn’t mean that you are 100% or that you have to be alone.
I am sure there are allot of people around you that care and hopefully there are support mechanisms in place if you feel in are in a place where you need to access it. You might probably aways remember your therapist as he seems to have made a big impact but this can be a positive thing. Personally i use the people i have met previously in my life help to motivate me now, help to keep me on track.
and please don’t think you are stupid for crying. Crying is a very positive coping strategy as it is a natural way to vent your emotions and get them out of your system
I hope this helps you
Good Luck and take care XXX XXX

Magical Mystery Tour $9.42 The album feels even more like a collection of singles (instead of an actual movie soundtrack) than Help! or A Hard Day’s Night, but maybe that’s because every song sounds like it could have been a hit single–with the natural exception of the goofy/weird instrumental “Flying.” Even George’s “Blue Jay Way” paints a vivid sound-portrait in fascinating detail. (I consider Joni Mitchell’s “Car on the… |

The Nightfly $4.82 Donald Fagen’s 1982 solo debut extends the sleek, smart pop craft of his work with Steely Dan into the realm of the concept album, taking the Dan’s penchant for intricate plotting, evocative narrative voices, and allusive imagery to the logical next step. Fagen’s connective thread is futurist nostalgia for the “New Frontier” as anticipated from the prosperous vantage point of late-’50s America. He… |

Now That I’ve Found You: Collection $8.35 A poll-winning fiddler since her teens, Alison Krauss was an established bluegrass star when her label persuaded her to step out from her usual projects with Union Station, her crack band, and sanction this compilation of various band and solo guest performances. The ploy worked, yielding a wonderful, odds-beating crossover hit with Krauss’s cover of “Baby, Now That I’ve Found You,” a carousing la… |

Chuck: The Complete Fifth Season $13.59 Chuck’s entertaining amalgam of action-adventure, comedy, and romance makes its last stand–much to the dismay of its faithful adherents–with this set of 13 episodes (on three discs, including bonus material) from its fifth and final season. As veteran viewers will know, this season’s Chuck Bartowski (Zachary Levi) is a far cry from the nerdy fellow from the show’s earlier run. Beautiful fellow s… |
