kitchen & bathroom flooring?
hello everybody I am particularly asking from anybody with renovation experts about new flooring for my house, particularly my kitchen and bathroom, have been looking around and instead of your typical ceramic tile, or vinyl tile, i found this tile place and they have this Beautiful porcelain tile. Is this new on the market for flooring and can anybody tell me if this is a practical product to use? I know porcelain has been around for thousands of years, the German royalty had statues made from this and they did Endeavour to make it as white as possible, also the Chinese have used it throughout the centuries.
This is a good flooring to use for your needs. Very durable and easy to clean.
In a residential setting both porcelain and ceramic make excellent flooring. You won t wear either out.
Porcelain bodied tile will differ slightly from a true porcelain which has the color go all the way through, Excellent for commercial usage.
Porcelain bodied tile is easier to cut and can be often cut with a standard hand held cutter but a wet saw is easier for a DIYer.Porcelain bodied tile or called a glazed porcelain has come in to use the last 10/12 years or so. Much more in the last few years because of manufacturing techniques.
There are different types such as a thin bodied and thicker bodied porcelain. Check the tinsel strength rating ( breakage under special conditions.) to get an idea on quaility.
The setting technique will determine how long any tile will last.
