I have been looking for an exercise product that provides versatility and results, but is still easy on my joints. For years, I have paid gym memberships and done religious workouts.Then one day I just totalled my annual gym membership fees and it really got my attention.I could buy equipment with the total, use them exclusively, and yet save some money.
So naturally, I began hunting for that equipment ideal to my own requirements. I comparison-shopped, looking at Bowflex and several others.Not one fit my needs, plus being quite costly and complicated as well.I know some friends have bought such equipment.So I went and tested the equipment, to evaluate them more thoroughly.Result? They simply are not what I like to have.
So meantime that I was looking for that product, I searched the Internet for ‘exercise bands’ as stop-gap muscle-toning gadget. Then I came across something: “Bodylastics, A home gym exercise system”, it said.Clicking on the site, I was stumped.A ‘home gym system’, and it was just resistance bands!!??Ahh.. Maybe there’s a litle secret there somewhere…Must be, I thought, and began really examining the content of the site.And saw, at last, the ‘Open Sesame’ of my search: “It’s easy on the joints…”makes the muscles work!”” That was just what I had in mind, but how could that be possible with just a resistance band?
Still skeptical, but very curious, I keep reading. The site touted that this little exercise band could provide over 140 of the top gym exercises.Demo pictures proved the statements. And it said the product was not a static strength exercise band.The item can be tuned up to its different tension levels which is why it is a system.The different tensions will enable the user to increase the workout difficulty without adding or buying anything else.
I thought it was worth a 49.00 gamble. And the 95 cents to test it.Well, $49.95 is only a small portion of what I paid as gym membership fees.Perhaps it can replace the 20,000 dollars worth of equipment i had in mind.
And for the past three months, the Bodylastics had been my personal exercise sytem. All I can say is: “Wow!”
Amazing how a little product that can fit in a drawer develop results similar to gym-based exercises, yet be so inexpensive almoost everyone can afford it.I achieved muscle tone, lost extra weight, felt stronger, yet not hurt in my joints as before.
The momentum created, when lifting a free-weight , actually damages ligaments and tendons.Bodylastics exercises move only the muscles with only the needed force so there is no overstraining the ligaments, tendons and joints.
