Where’s the best record shop to go digging for breaks?
Too many of these places are closing down, and it’s getting harder to find a good place to buy vinyl, like hip-hop, funk, soul & rare groove stuff.
I know about all the big shops like HMV or Amazon, but I find most places have a limited selection of vinyl, if any at all. Plus, there are a number of tunes that I’ve ordered that have never come in, even 6 months or even a year. They say it’s got something to do with the distributors, that they don’t order from them very often and will have to wait until they’ve placed some more orders with that distibutor.
