Flute Concertos
I’m looking for a piano accompanist for Mozart flute concerti and Bach flute sonati. What level should I ask?
for in my ad? What are the chances of finding a volunteer? Most likely, they will want to be paid for their time.
The chances of finding a volunteer are slim to none–unless of course, you have friends who play piano. If you don’t have pianist friends, you should make some (they can be very useful ^.^) Also, try asking your band director/private flute teacher if they know of anyone, before you decide to put out an ad.
Are you playing all 6 Bach sonatas and all the Mozart concertos? That’s a long program, and you will need a talented pianist with much stamina.
Be very specific in the ad as to what you are playing, then meet with those who respond to your ad and have them play the piece. Then play your part with them and decide who sight-reads/performs it the way you like the best!
