Who does the media makeit out that MJ had more of a global impact than Elvis when?
Elvis has more platinum records, mutli platinum records, gold records, platinum singles, mutli platinum singles, gold singles, Billboard top 30 hits, and total record sales in every continent around the globe?
Elvis was the first, he was copyable. MJ wasn’t. Any move you saw of his, you would instantly recognize it. The moonwalk, the hand over the…*ehm*, the leg flick thing. Elvis was kind of lame and acted drunk on stage. To me anyway I saw his song I just can’t stop lovin you or something. MJ was black. He brought recognition to black artists (he had vitiligo, he didn’t change his skin colour). On MTV they never showed any sort of black artists produce. Without Michael Jackson, the world wouldn’t be the same. Even in his later years when the child molesting got to him, he carried on as always and his album Thriller was the world’s biggest selling album of all time. He donated more than 500 million dollars to charity. He was an icon in culture, music and even in news. Elvis was a singer, he sold many records but he didn’t bring the same “pizazz” as Michael did. Just because he didn’t sell as many as Elvis, doesn’t mean he made a bigger global impact. Michael visited so many countries and nations that he was literally known EVERYWHERE. And partly, most people didn’t have TVs or Radios in the 1950s-1960s. Here’s the main point:
Michael was better. He had origionality. He was discriminated and fell in the end. I don’t know what happened to Elvis, I only know he died.
