My 20months old daughter is always giving dirty looks and it really gets under my skin. She thinks she’s a princess. Whar do I do when she does this?
At twenty months she’s still a baby and has no control over her facial expressions, or her emotions for that matter. As long as there are no serious behavioral issues dirty looks are really not an issue. As she gets older she will, with your guidance, learn self control. Right now she’s far too young. Don’t expect anything of her but what is age appropriate….concentrate on her physical actions/re-actions in a friendly but firm manner….and give her time to mature…
If you’re not sure of what is approriate behavior for this age or any age there are many books on the subject…and there’s always the guidance of adults who have been there/done that whose judgement you trust.Your pediatrician is certainly one…
