Dire Straits
Are they all fools? I mean those who lost their jobs, 401ks, homes and are in dire straits?
Did they bring it on themselves and deserve what they get? Is that what you think? Is this time to split hairs and quibble about this and that BS?
No, we’re not all fools. Some people who lost their homes I think were fools for thinking an ARM or no money down or a house outside their income was doable. But that alone isn’t what broke the economy. The 401K scandles were not the people who invested’s fault, but the fault of a few who need to die rotting in jail.
And I think you’re the fool if you think it’s cool or even ok to call anyone who just lost their job a “fool”. Most of my friends have lost their jobs, all from different sectors, and we all worked hard. And I’m talking up-until-now secure white collar jobs in finance, IT, marketing, all upstanding careers… just now all gone.
