Recordings of the Symphonies of Anton Bruckner: which is the better of Eugen Jochum’s two cycles?
His first Berlin cycle recorded for Deutsche Grammophon or the later EMI set where he conducts the Staatskapelle Dresden ?
Granted a long shot, as most of my questions tend to be, for the chances that folks here have sat down and compared the two aren’t great but after reading through tonnes of reviews there does not seem to be a common consensus as to which is the one to have.
So was just wondering if any one has either of these sets or any opinion otherwise?

Each set has its merits. Many prefer the earlier DGG set, but personally I love the Dresden set. Hearing that Dresden brass section in full flight nearly blows your hair off. Wonderful stuff!
