Did Any Of You Know That Dionne Warwick Passed Away Last Year?
I was watching the NAACP awards a couple of days ago, and when they did that panegyric to all of the artists we lost last year, they showed Mrs. Dionne “Dee Dee” Warwick. I goggled her on the web, and it read that she had died on 10-18-08, (the same exact date that Marvin Gaye’s father / killer died on ten years ago). I asked several other people that I knew, and they didn’t even know she had died, so I wanted to know if any of you guys knew. Don’t you hate when they do stuff like this, not broadcast the death of a celebrity, especially as long as Mrs. Warwick was famous, and was the Aunt of Whitney Houston? Remember they also did Michelle Thomas (Justine from The Cosby Show, Myra From Family Matters, and Callie Rogers from Y&R) this way when she died. What are your thoughts on Mrs. Warwick?
First news for me! And believe me, I have always liked Dionne Warwick. She was a great artist and a great lady. Sad news! I agree with you that seems not enough publicity was given to such a loss. I read some papers on a daily basis on line and I never saw those news. Adian.
