Has anyone got for sale CDs mono Beethoven Sonatas Wilhelm Backhaus Decca recordings 1950 -54 reissued?
Issued as London POCL 3471-78 CDs Japan,Korea and limited Edition 2002 Universal music Italie made in EU 433882-2 28943 38822 I cannot read Japanese script.
Try the Decca “Legends” series, or possibly the Karussel CD label. I have a reissue of a Decca recording of Vaughan Williams’ Sea Symphony, on Karussel, from 1953 with Adrian Boult conducting. So Karussel might have what you are looking for as they seem to reissue Decca recordings.
It is possible that Deutsche Grammophon could have it as well, as they have various re issues that combine Decca, EMI, and Phillips recordings.
