Top 20 sports in America!
Without much doubt, the 5 at the top should definitely be here, but what about the others?
- American Football – of course, been around since the 1800’s.
- Baseball – Some argue this is the number one sport.
- Basketball – Taken very seriously by the Americans and the Russians, but bigger in America.
- Hockey – Although not an American Based sport this has been a fast growing one.
- Golf – Always considered a posh mans sport, and it is, except Tiger Woods really set it off for everyone.
- Wrestling – has a massive following, people have become obsessed with this.
- Tennis – A great athletic sport, that requires a lot of skill, it may not be American in origin but who cares.
- Skateboarding – This was really brought to life by America.
- Surfing – Yeah Dude, grabbing those waves has been an American Past time.
- Ice Skating – This is taken very seriously over the world, and in America.
- Boxing – This only really kicks off when there are big international fights.
- Soccer – Has only just really started to happen for the Americans, but they are keen to push forward with it.
- Archery – A guaranteed final spot in the Olympics for the Americans with the likes of Geena Davis, training harder than ever.
- Volleyball – This was definitely going to be in here somewhere, what a great event, to take part in and watch.
- Cycling – This has always been a strong sport, but has never really grasped the nation.
- Track and Field – Americans have always produced fast and athletic runners, lately they are coming up against hard competition though.
- Horse Racing – Great for all to watch and the Americans have turned it into a massive sport industry.
- Rock Climbing – An American Past Time, although not as much as other activities, this is tried by a lot of people.
- Extreme Sports – The sports in this category have always grasped the nation, not always in a good way.
- Auto Racing – this should be higher on the list, especially Monster Truck and Rally racing, but hard to place.
Which of these shouldn’t be here? Which of these is wrong and which is right? What a great way to find out – try Las Vegas holidays or New York holidays to really find out
