Let Sara Oakheart do the dirty work. Stay behind her once inside Barad Gularan and let her take the aggro. If mobs attack you, defend yourself or try to keep aggro away with some skill.
Things to consider to choose the right bow:
Speed: the less the number the faster the weapon.
Damage: Common, Fire, Light, Westernesse, Beleriand and Dwarf-Made are available. There are some mobs that require (specially at higher levels) more than common.
the path that leads to The Rift is at Barad Gularan following the large road that borders the mountain. Once in Barad Gularan turn right and descend throughthat road, then turn left. The path follows under a bridge or structure.
This quest requires a solid group, not full though.
Hi all, This quest could be very hard with a bad team, or could be easy with a very strong team.
I was a level 41 champion when i did this quest, It was very easy, you just need this in the group:
2 Ministrels (One for the full group and the other for personal healing to the Tank)
1 or 2 Hunters level 50 (For Heart Seeker and high damage and DOT)
Champion from level 45-50 (For extreme Damage per Second and tank if you do not get a Guardian)
If you could not get the second Hunter ask for another Champion or for a Capitan for some buffs and pets.
And yourself, no matter what class are you, if you are a Champion deal damage, if you are a Ministrel heal, if you are a Hunter deal high damage, If you are Burglar use your bag of tricks, If you are Guardian just stay there and recive damage, and if you are Lore Master just keep stuning adds and dealing damage to the Nazgul.
Hope I help, Good luck with it!
This quest has a great animation involving a Nazgul and the reviving of Thorog as an introduction to the Raid.
Things to keep in mind for this tough quest:
- Minstrel and or Burglar and Lore-Master
- Use FM to restore Power and Morale
- Carry a Token to increase hope since the Nazgul will cause dread.
- Eat food and use all possible buffs at your grasp
Near the end the Nazgul will heal himself and spawn adds so the entire team will need healing and power. Focus on those instead in damage.
- A good Guardian and a good hunter can help with aggro and the DPS to finish ASAP
This quest in Evendim is very demanding. Be sure to have a Minstrel in the group or at least a Burglar and a Lore-Master.
- Use Fellowship Maneuvers that restore power.
- Remove roots as soon as possible when fighting elite huorns
- Keep aggro away from the NPC
In the end the Master Elite Huorn will not die (it heals all the time) until the Twisted Heart (tree o top) is dead.
To kill him the entire group will have to kill roots below and then go up to attack the tree. This will happen three times until the tree finaly dies and your team can take on the Master Elite Huorn, that at that time will not be healed anymore.
- A good guardian (or two) are required to keep aggro.
- Hunters: use campfire to restore some power and traps to delay as much as possible the adds
- Even with a good minstrel the power will run off so keep an eye on power for the minstrel or nobody will heal the team.
- Use quick shot to lower your enemies speed, same applies in melee combat… even if you die, someone else can get the creep if it kills you and tries to run (slowly)
- Remove poison from you and your team with your skill.
- Set traps whenever you can, you never know who is in stealth stalking.
- Set campfires, large combats consume power and people needs to temporary retreat to recharge. Lots of hunters doing this helps a lot.
Hunters can use the poison resistance skill in other companions to remove poison effects even in combat.
Try tobe on focus as much as possible since creeps will try to run away. If this happens and you have enough focus you can use Merciful Shot (if the creep is at 25% morale or less) and end his scaping
After trying several times, with several groups this is what it worked:
Two groups, each one should have a Minstrel. Group 1 and 2 always defend Camp 1 and 3 respectively. Camp 2 (middle one) should be defended by the two groups at the same time, then return to their camp.
If you are planning on doing Monster Play (PvMP) I recommend to NEVER USE your destiny points on PvE mode. It is useless and it may mean that you are doing something wrong if you need to spend DP in regular game play. Instead save those for your monster… you will get better results in MP.
use LFM to Look For More, not to find a fellowship.
Use LFF if you are alone and want to join a fellowship.
this may sound redundant but some players do not want to lead a team.
The lifeless Watching-Stones can be found in Malenhad (Angmar) under the LE in the map. There are more in North East from there in the swamps.
This is another (in)famous quests in the game. Here are some tips:
- DO NOT AGGRO. Some parts are easy and some parts can get out of control easily. Wait before each group as you ascent to the top.
- The end part involves two alites with lots of morale. It is easy to run out of power. A lore-master can help with this by draining power from the mobs.
- Get inside the gate for the final part and use buffs.
- FM will help at the end. A Burglar can help with this.
- A tank (guardian) will make it easier also.
If you achieve critical success on a tier 4 or 5 item you will have the chance to put a name on your craft.
This does not apply to all items but you will see some items with names like bows and jewelry.
