Flock of Seagulls was definately a New Wave band. Corey Hart was more of a rocker type new wave probably considered Power Pop.
The Fixx, The Thompson Twins, Orchestral Maneuvers In The Dark, The Psychedelic Furs, Echo and The Bunnymen were new wave bands that to me were similar to Flock of Seagulls.The Flock of Seagulls released a second album after the first one (the one with I Ran) which I liked just as much if not more than the first one.
