What are the best pieces of classical music?
I am looking to put as much classical music on my iPod as possible. I really enjoy pieces with piano and violins. I would like to know the most recognizable classical pieces as well as the best classical music, in your opinion. I like to listen to classical music while I read so, give me some good stuff. Oh and don’t give me a website or some in depth analysis of classical music where you end up not giving me any songs. Just give me a top ten classical pieces list ( in your opinion) and that will be perfect! Thanks!

Oh god it’s so great.
Apart from that, I love Mussorgsky’s “Night On Bald Mountain” and Shostakovich’s “Festive Overture”. I’m big on hugely elaborate, emotional compositions. My favorite solo piece (that I’ve ever played) is Schumann’s “Romance No. 3″. It’s so… sad. But beautiful. God I love it.
