Marks of Triumph

Posted by: Admin   in Group Combat, Quests

These marks can be found in the main locations. Each location has a number of quests (the big ones) that can be repeated to help friends. After finishing / redoing this quests you will earn a mark of triumph. Having many of this allows you to buy barter items for armor and other items.

Quests cannot be gained for marks again for 5 days though you can still help friends out but without getting a mark

Battle of Rhunendin

Posted by: Admin   in Group Combat, Quests

One of the toughest quests in the game. You will need a tanking class and healers in both groups and try to take camps while defending other camps from the attacks.

Players should try to do two things at the same time in order to take and defend camps. If difficult one group should split while the other finishes a defence.

Battle for Rammas Deulon

Posted by: Admin   in Group Combat, Quests

Separate your groups again. Assign DPS to a group. All the players should go to defend. An announce will be made to tell wich sorceress is preparing the attack which gives information on where the attack will be made. Once the attack is under control (still killing mobs) an announcement will be made telling that the sorceress is weak and open to attacks. Second group should run to her and finish her ASAP or that attack will be repeated. Once group one finishes players should join gorup two to finish sorceress. This will repeat each time for a number of times until the battle is won

Battle for Aughaire

Posted by: Admin   in Group Combat, Quests

Split your group in two. All 6 players should go for the attacks. When a second attack is called one of the group goes to take it while the first one finishes the fight. Then first group goes to aid the second group.

Just kill fast

Lots of Lvl 50 weapons have light damage and that is good but for certain mobs (ask a friend Lore-Master) specially in the rep dungeons you will need Westernesse and Ancient Dwarf Make damage to get the most from your weapons. Those three damage types are the most common. Light will work on both situations.

Rift Strategy

Posted by: Admin   in Group Combat

Assign a task to each guardian (you must have two, at least): who is going to tank which monsters and who is going to tank adds.

Make them raid assists and have a third one just in case… assign a role tho him/her too

Define the order in which the mobs will be attacked and explain (or check if its the first time) what they do to see how they act.

Tell hunters to not use AoE (rain of arrows, thorsns, etc) since they may get aggro from other mobs. They will laso break some other skills from other members of the group.

Main assists should focus on th targets, failling to do so will distract other members and confuse them about which target to attack

Do a readycheck to see if everybody is on the game at the moment of attacking.

Minstrels can alternate their buffs (two minstrels or more recommended, same as tanks) in each group and can switch groups to do so.

1 Burglar is recommended to trigger FM and add more to the groups

2 hunters are recommended (or more) to finish things faster. Tanking is the main part of the deal but running out of power or dying because everything is effective but slow will not help.

Lore-Masters (2 recommended, too) to keep some dangerous mobs out of the battle (example: the hilmen ladies that heal). SAme as tanks, should be assigned a task.

The Rift

Posted by: Admin   in Group Combat

Some Rift Basics:

- Designate Raid Assists for each group and maybe more for different situations.

- Make sure everyone have at least: 2 or more Tokens of +5 hope. Food, fear and poison salves (Green and Pink ones).

- Make sure everyone have enough time (at least 2 hours).

- Minimum recommendations for classes: 2 Minstrels a Burglar and a LM. DPS can be splitted between champs and hunters. Captains for extra buffs and support.

- Be clear about loot rules. Good rewards there, people gets greedy :D

Hi all, This quest could be very hard with a bad team, or could be easy with a very strong team.

I was a level 41 champion when i did this quest, It was very easy, you just need this in the group:

2 Ministrels (One for the full group and the other for personal healing to the Tank)
1 or 2 Hunters level 50 (For Heart Seeker and high damage and DOT)
Champion from level 45-50 (For extreme Damage per Second and tank if you do not get a Guardian)

If you could not get the second Hunter ask for another Champion or for a Capitan for some buffs and pets.

And yourself, no matter what class are you, if you are a Champion deal damage, if you are a Ministrel heal, if you are a Hunter deal high damage, If you are Burglar use your bag of tricks, If you are Guardian just stay there and recive damage, and if you are Lore Master just keep stuning adds and dealing damage to the Nazgul.

Hope I help, Good luck with it!

Hunters can use the poison resistance skill in other companions to remove poison effects even in combat.

Healers

Posted by: Admin   in Group Combat

Besides Minstrels, Lore-Masters and Captains can heal.

Captains can even rezz (bring from defeat) a companion using the Escape From Darkness skill with half of morale and 1/4 power starting at level 20.

Lore-Masters can give some morale with the Beacon of Hope skill that can be incremented through traits.
At level 24 Lore-Masters can also transfer power to an ally.

Minstrels are by far the bet healers but depending on the group they can be replaced as any other class in the game.

Acorns

Posted by: Admin   in Group Combat, Guardian, Solo Combat

the Guardians can crate Acorns (level 38+). These items are sent my mail to another character who can summon the Guardian to where he / she is.
This will not work if one of the players are in an instance. Anyway both characters need to be near a mailbox to make it work.

Closest target

Posted by: Admin   in Group Combat, Monster Play, Solo Combat

Use the Backspace Key to automatically select the closest target. This is specially useful at the Ettenmoors in crowded areas where you barely know your character form the all others :D

Cancelling Fellowship Maneuver

Posted by: Admin   in Group Combat

If you failed or messed up the FM you can jumpor move to cancel your selection and, if there is still time, add another dot. Just pay attention on how the combination is going since your turn will surely be filled by someone else.

Buffs

You can get Scrolls from Lore-Masters, buy Tokens at the AH (or get them from jewelers) to get better attack / defensive buffs and increase hope for the entire fellowship.
