LOTRO Festival Horse How-To

Posted by: Admin   in General Gameplay

  1. Check your game settings, set graphics to low and landscape draw distance to very high. That way the landscape will be rendered and the game will run smooth. If you game doesn’t run smooth you may experience video lag and you may loose een if you see yourself in first place.
  2. Check your network connection and make sure everything is ok, latency and lag will ruin your race
  3. YOU NEED to pass inside the poles, get as closer as you can to the right pole and pass through it from the inside, just like in the level 35 race. You don’t need to stay in the track all the time nor jump obstacles. Just try to stay as close to the right poles as you can
  4. Unless you are disqualified stay in the race even if you are not first. Specially if you are in the first three positions, you never know if the other players are really there or if they will be disqualified for some reason. It seems like there is a timer so if it takes long to pass through the poles people is disqualified

Get Ready for Mines of Moria

Posted by: Admin   in General Gameplay

With Book 14 ready for download and Mines of Moria comming in a few months here is a list of things you can do to get ready:

  • First of all save money if you need to… :D MoM is not a free content update
  • Max out all your preferred traits
  • Finnish all your unfinished quests… not only for rewards / money but also because this will help you with some deeds and it will leave the quest log free for the new content… new quests… new xp to get… back into the leveling business
  • Save some gold… new skills, maybe housing? and other content types will be available in MoM… and they will not be free.
  • Work on your crafting skills. Crafting will include some good news so be prepared to take the most of it
  • If you have low level alts try to take them to level 50. Two or more level 50 is always useful to understand more aspects of the game

ESDF

Posted by: Admin   in General Gameplay

Instead of using ZQSD to move around and using CTRL, ALT/SHIFT to access skills in the bars. I have found it to much more effective to use ESDF to move and Z/R to access skills… This way every skill is more in reach(especially skills on 9 and further…

It works better for me … Try it

About Beleriand Bows

Posted by: Admin   in General Gameplay, Hunter, Minstrel

lately a lot of buzz about Beleriand Damage Bows have been around. The truth is that when you reach level 50 and you are into Raids and Instances you will need to check (or ask a friendly Lore master) damage types.

A great example is Cudur (Ettenmoors Bow) one of the best bows around. Great for soloing but useless in places like Sarnur Instance where Westernesse and Light Damage will outperform Beleriand Damage weapons.

Unlock the Mines of Moria First Game

Posted by: Admin   in General Gameplay

Small tip for this Risk-like game: keep some armies at the end of every turn and if you can leave them near places where there is only one army. This will make it easier for the next round, but keep in mind that other players may modify this scenario.

Display Skill Bars Always

Posted by: Admin   in General Gameplay

Going to the UI Options (hitting ESC + Options) you will notice a Always Display Bar (num here). By clicking that option you can make one or all of your skill bars to be docked to always display in the UI. No more hiting shift, alt or control.

Lots of Lvl 50 weapons have light damage and that is good but for certain mobs (ask a friend Lore-Master) specially in the rep dungeons you will need Westernesse and Ancient Dwarf Make damage to get the most from your weapons. Those three damage types are the most common. Light will work on both situations.

Quest list in fellowships

Posted by: Admin   in General Gameplay

While in a fellowship you can open your quest book and check other players in the fellowship who have the same quests that you do. Notice the green icons. If you roll over your mouse on each icon you will see the name of the character who has the same quest.
