Cars Shake

Why does my car shake when I accelerate and when I let off the gas it stops shaking?

I have a 2002 Chevy Impala. It only shakes when I accelerate when I let off the gas it stops. However it only does this when there is someone else in the car with me. If I am driving alone it does not shake. I am guessing it has some thing to do with weight. It does not do this when I am stopped and push on the gas so I don’t think it is a engine issue.
