Carmina Burana
what do you think is the best rendition of orff’s carmina burana?
i have the slovak philharmonic’s version with me, and it doesn’t sound quite right. what version do you think i should get?
I like the classic Rafael Frübeck de Burgos recording with Lucia Popp, Gerhard Unger, Raymond Wolansky and John Noble from EMI.
Another great classic is the Eugen Jochum recording with Gundula Janowitz (wonderful voice!), Gerhard Stolze and Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau from Deutsche Grammophon.
