Is reggae an under appreciated genre?
I think reggae really is overall an under appreciated genre. I’m not talking Bob Marley, Bunny Wailer, Peter Tosh I mean the bands that are coming out with new music today like, Rebelution, The Expendables, Katchafire, John Brown’s Body, Natural Incense….music down that alley that is every bit as good as mainstream music yet relatively unknown. I get that most people just don’t know about reggae bands, I don’t really get why?
I also completely agree. All types of reggae are under appreciated for what they really are… like Yahoo doesnt even have a category for reggae at all.. even though there are so many types of it.. its just because most people are so unaware.. and typical. lol so many people have questions about reggae music…because it can be so difficult to get access to..
But people that aren’t so typical.. and the ones that probably love music like me.. will set out to find what they are looking for.. you just gotta have that flava
