Blue Ridge
does anyone know about the blue ridge parkway in virginia?
We want to take a trip out to ride the parkway but we want to go to shops, restraunts, attractions. Anything close or right off the parkway. We really need help planning this day trip. I can’t find anything on the internet that helps. Thanks
okay obviously I know it’s not about the shops and about the sight seeing..duh. But we have a one year old that won’t sit through hours on end in the car. So we need anything to do before or after the parkway. THanks
All along the parkway, including the Skyline Drive, in Virginia are stops, with campgrounds, resturants, gift shops and unique displays. The is one at Rocky Knob, North of U.S. 58. At the Roanoke River, there’s a park called Virginias Explore Park. Again, at apple Orchard Mounain you will find many sites to explore. Your parkway ends at Rockfish Gap, I-64, and the Skyline Drive begins until you reach Front Royal, Virginia.
