Is there a belinda carlisle song called “the story”?

I heard this song on the radio and I don’t remember the words … but the woman repeatedly said in the chorus “you were made for me”. When the song was over the radio announcer said that it was “Belinda Carlisle” and that was “the story.” But I have researched this on the Internet and cannot find ANYTHING ABOUT IT!! Did I get the name wrong? The song starts out with just her (the voice sounded very much like Belinda Carlisle) and a guitar and then it gets louder and more instruments come in by the second verse.
