What did the Beatles actually record first, Magical Mystery Tour or Sgt Pepper’s?

I’m a very avid Beatle nut and have done much research. But I still can’t determine what they did first. I would have to look at the actual recording session records from EMI, but how to see those?

well, according to Wikipedia, Sgt Pepper was recorded from December 66 through April 67, and while “Strawberry Fields” and “Penny Lane” were recorded during the same stretch, the remainder of Magical Mystery Tour was recorded between April 67 and November 67, making Sgt Pepper overall the first.
