What Nashville girl singer do you like and why??
I like Barbara Mandrell, Loretta Lynn the older ones but also I like some of the New ones too, I love Gretchen Wilson, meet her when she was a Bartendar in Nashville.Very nice person.
i’m just like you, i like the older traditional country artists more. but i do listen to more contemporary ones every now and then. barbara mandrell, loretta lynn, reba mcentire, and tanya tucker are my absolute favorites though. some of the contemporary girl artists are great like gretchen, trisha yearwood, terri clark. i don’t like carrie underwood because she’s not really country. sara evans and martina mcbride, dolly parton, tammy wynette, patsy cline they’re all so great and legends. i really don’t think many of the new and upcoming artists, like carrie for example, have what it take to become legends like barbara, loretta, tammy, and so many others. barbara, dolly, reba, loretta they all grew up in the country, physically working and paying their dues to become who and what they are today. but there may be a few though…i’m hopeful. i’m just really sad though that so many of the up and coming girl artists won’t be able to sit and watch so many of the legends like barbara mandrell, june carter cash, patsy cline, tammy wynette…in my opinion that’s the best way to learn is to watch and take advice from the best, and the best are the legends that have paved the way for the up and coming female artists.
