Vinyl Revival
Do you remember what it was like before Facebook?
What was daily life like for your parents before electronics spoiled our lives?
Long ago when fuel cost 17 cents a gallon, and teenage “Bobby soxers” were groupies of the mostly girl persuasion, “swinging” moved to another playground.
If you are a ‘real record collector’ or a disc-Jockey, or perhaps you tripped onto your parents’ treasure trove of 78s, 33s and 45s, then this is normal information instead of sounding like strange space talk from another remote world.
But, for those who relish the discernible sounds of vinyl and classic “crooner” artists like Frank Sinatra and his Rat Pack pals, you will want to chill with many of these records and sing along. The album art is also hot.
You might remember him as the Chairman Of The Board — Francis Albert Sinatra (December 12, 1915 – May 14, 1998), one of the greatest American singers from the 1940s whose acting, music and professional vocation bridged at least five decades and remains simply supreme.
Too cool to copy, endless performers such as Harry Connick Jr. and Michael Bublé keep the music alive as they try their very best to reach each original shaded modulation and follow his original arrangements. And it was more than even that.
Las Vegas in the 70s and 80s was an ideal platform to witness the spectacle of songs that revealed his lickety-split exciting life: Luck Be A Lady Tonight, My Way, One for My Baby (and One More for the Road), plus too many standards to list.
Pour a couple glasses of your favorite drinks, dust off your phonograph and turn down the lights.
You can croon to the moon as long as you remember, classic is class and nothing beats classic vinyl like Frank Sinatra vinyl.
