are Bach Edition: Complete Works (155 CD Box Set) [BOX SET] good to buy?
Does it provide a great sound ???
Are you a library or similar institution? If so yes, if not, then the following: Bach, at one point, had to crank out one cantata a week. You can get most of the Bach worth listening to, on about 16 CDs. The only complete set I am aware of is the “Brilliant Classics” edition. The recordings are modern, but the artists are all unknown to me. Do you need 200 cantatas? If so, it’s a good buy for that aspect. If you don’t, you may want to buy smaller sets of the more popular works, can can get very good performances, much of them on good quality budget recordings. Unless you really , really, really, like Bach.
