Art Van

I have heard that Art Van Fabric Protection is applied on the loading dock. Is this true?
I am looking at purchasing a sectional and have read on a few different blogs that the fabric protection (which always costs extra) is applied on the loading dock just prior to delivery. Is this a fact? Is there any reason not to just buy a can of Scotchguard and apply it myself?
When I saw your question I was just going to recommend the scotchguard spray. This is a hard sell, high markup item that upholstery and new car dealers really push. Sometimes it’s already applied at the factories anyway and they just try to get the extra money for it.
I would just use the spray.
