Ballroom dancing is becoming accessible to everyone now, not just the old and wealthy. On TV today, dance shows are into ballroom dancing as well as dance sports. Even starting as young as 7, everyone is literally learning how to ballroom dance now. This is also a great way for you to actually enjoy the dances at social events like weddings. In order to learn the fundamentals of ballroom dancing, its recommended that beginners start on some of the slower songs. The Waltz for example, is a popular and very common dance, very easy to learn. After you master the easier tasks of ballroom dancing, then you can move on to the faster and more complex ones.
Here are 2 different types of ballroom dancing that you should check.
Waltz -focuses primarily on the closed dance hand. You’ll find this is much easier to learn because it is much slower than other types of ballroom dances. After you master the footwork and steps of the waltz, then you shouldn’t have any problems learning how to master the other ballroom dances.
Tango – the tango is another type of ballroom dancing and one of the most romantic and passionate dances. If you have seen it in the movies, the tango is sometimes associated with guys biting on a long-stem rose as he seduces the woman. Even though most can argue that the tango did in fact come from Argentina, it has since then become a new American style tango to Uruguayan tango and European influences.
