What is the quickest way for me to be able to teach high school spanish?
I am bilingual, have studied spanish for MANY years. .Lived in Argentina, and went to a native school there. I have 3 years of psych, which I used for social work. I stopped working out of home and started raising 3 children. As I think about working again maybe I would teach. I LOVE teens, have worked with MANY in my career, and I am currently teaching my own children spanish. I was thinking, if I love both teaching and I am bilingual how can use that? I also reasoned because I work well with teens, I could focus on that age. Any ideas on what my lowest cost, best way to get there?
Continue on to get a bachelors degree in psych, possibly with a minor in spanish, and then get a masters in education, which takes a year to a year and a half. You have to have credits in spanish in most states to be certified.
That seems like the easiest way to go. Cheers
