How can I stop myself from falling into sin all the time?
I am a Christian and I’ve been going to Church almost all my life, but my main problem is that I always seem to fall into sin and grow further away from God, until I go to another Church meeting or sermon, when I try reminding myself to read in the Bible I always seem to have something stopping me from it, any advice??
The good news is that you can’t stop yourself from sinning. (You did read that correctly!) it’s God the Holy Spirit indwelling and leading and empowering you who turns your thoughts in the right direction. Follow Him. Focus on Him.
Also stop thinking about sin all the time. God loves you and knows you are trying. That’s really good enough. We all are tempted, and we all sin. What we do afterwards is key. We repent (tell God we want to change), receive His forgiveness and His help to overcome whatever the problem is. At just the right time, God will give you the help you need when you need it. it may not be when you think, but it will be at the perfect time according to God’s plan and purpose for your life.
