Afro Cuban

Isn’t Afro-cuban, afro-dominican, and etc are Black people?…Why can’t they just say that?

Instead of making it sound all special. Like black people don’t call themselves afro-american. they say black. so how come others won’t just say black??? No rants please, i just want answers particularly from people who names themselves like that

Don’t ask me, I never came up with the term, but whatever it’s there, big deal!! If you saw a black person in Cuba they probably wouldn’t say “oh I’m an Afro-Cuban,” they would say black in spanish, so no big deal then.
